Donate your dinner plates! Heath Ceramics partners with UASF

Urban Angels SF is thrilled to announce its partnership with Heath Ceramics to give back to your San Francisco neighbors living in shelters and in poverty.

You can participate by bringing your gently used dinnerware of any brand to Heath Ceramics and in exchange you will receive 20% off any corresponding piece of NEW Heath dinnerware by August 20th, 2023. Just take your current dinnerware to Heath San Francisco 2900 18th Street, San Francisco, CA 94110.

Urban Angels SF takes your donated dishes and donates them to families in San Francisco who are living at the poverty level.

For over 10 years, Heath has hosted a community giving-back event called the Home Plate Dinnerware Exchange in Los Angeles, and for the first time, they are including the Bay Area community through Urban Angels SF.

Heath Ceramics is a noted American maker of dinnerware and tile, made locally and sustainably, in California since 1948.

Their San Francisco location is just a few blocks away from where UASF holds our Friday Angel Run donation days for mothers in need. Heath Ceramics is located at 2900 18th Street, San Francisco, 94110, and the phone number is (415) 361-5552.

Heath’s Announcement

August 10—20, 2023

via Heath:

Being part of the community means giving back and taking care of our communities, and we’re excited to bring back the Home Plate Dinnerware Exchange. For over 10 years, we’ve hosted this event in LA to collect thousands of donated pieces of dinnerware to folks who are in need. And for the first time, we’re including our Bay Area community in this amazing event!

From August 10—August 20, donate your gently used dinnerware — any brand — to the Heath Los Angeles, San Francisco, or Sausalito showrooms, in exchange for 20% off any corresponding piece of Heath dinnerware (plate for plate, bowl for bowl). We’re accepting basic dinnerware pieces (plates and bowls); all donations will go to folks who are building a home!

We’re partnering with Penny Lane and Alexandria House in LA and Urban Angels SF in the Bay to donate your dinnerware to low-income and formerly unhoused individuals and families, and give them a boost as they start to rebuild their lives and their homes.

We’re humbled to help and bring the community together every year. Our LA community has continued to show up every year, and we’re pumped to have our community in the Bay join in. Thank you!
