Youth Ambassador Corps

The Urban Angels SF “Youth Ambassador Corps Program” is teenagers from local high schools and junior highs completing their own charitable projects to aid San Franciscans in need under the auspices of UASF. The program launched in the Fall of 2021 and already 1,500 care packages, hundreds of bags of quality clothing, hundreds of coats and hundreds of gifts for children have been delivered to grateful and deserving San Franciscans. This is due to the dedication, commitment and ingenuity of the UASF Youth Ambassadors. Currently our YAC is comprised of 15 young adults who represent 5 SF high schools and one elementary school!

This program is administered under the auspices of Urban Angels SF Youth Ambassador Corps Team. Students’ community service hours are tracked and validated. And certificates of achievement are also awarded for bona fide results!

See below to find our more about this program including how you and your classmates can get involved. To view a message from the Urban Angels SF Youth Ambassador Corps Director about how to get started, see the next section below.

Welcome to the UASF Youth Ambassador Corps Program!

Thank you for your interest and taking action to learn about how you can make a difference by helping to provide aid for the people fallen on tough times.

My name is Alice Chanter, and I was the 2021 Youth Ambassador Program Director at Urban Angels (UASF). I want to share some exciting news about UASF Youth Ambassador Program and how you can help.

Urban Angels SF is a nonprofit with the mission to provide front-line aid to San Franciscans who need it the most by rallying community support.

While I was a senior at the International High School, I started the UASF Youth Ambassador Program because I noticed that it was very challenging for youths to volunteer during the lockdown. However, I found a way by rallying my school community and spearheading three care package programs where 2,700 were delivered to Urban Angels SF and its partners. These drives brought our school community together and enabled us to help those in need.

I see the desire from other students to do more, but they don’t necessarily know how. My goal was to rally young people in San Francisco to take action and do more to provide aid for others who have fallen on tough times. I invite you to be part of this exciting program!
