Urgent Help For Robbery Victim & Family

Jose and Alma and their family*

Jose, the husband of our dedicated UASF volunteer Alma, was robbed at knifepoint on his way home from work for his $4K cash monthly salary.

Now his family with two young children is facing immediate eviction from their Tenderloin apartment.

Please help! Donate Now through September 10th and 100% of your donation will go to help this family.

Americans are among the most generous people in the world. When travesty strikes, they often support those who are affected financially.

Jose*, a 33 year old husband and father of two young children, was attacked and robbed on his way home from his construction job 10 days ago (August 15). He was on his electric scooter going to his apartment in the San Francisco Tenderloin.

Four thugs surrounded Jose, put a knife to his throat and he believed he was about to be killed. They took everything; his money, electric scooter, cell phone, clipper card, bluetooth speaker and backpack. Although Jose was not physically injured, he was afraid for his life and incredibly traumatized.

Jose had just been paid his monthly pay ($4,000). He is paid under-the-table so he gets paid in cash. This is very common among migrant workers who work for employers who seek to avoid paying payroll taxes and the other costs associated with having employees. Now he is unable to pay his rent that is due on September 1st. Jose and his family are facing eviction in less than a week.

Urban Angels SF is asking for your help to cover his out-of-pocket losses; his pay ($4,000), electric scooter ($1,200), cell phone ($300), blue tooth speaker ($100), clipper card ($40) and h backpack ($30). In total Jose’s losses amount to $5,670.

Jose’s wife, Alma*, has been a long time volunteer for Urban Angeles SF. For all of 2022 and 2023, twice weekly she donates time to get clothing donations ready and to hand them out to homeless people and others living below the poverty level here in San Francisco.

3 Ways To Donate

Will you make a financial donation to help Alma, her husband and their children?

  1. Make a tax-deductible donation** to Urban Angels SF: Donate Here

How It Works

Jose and Alma will to donate any funds over their out-of-pocket loss of $5,670 to Urban Angels SF where it will be used to support homeless people in San Francisco and others who are living at or below the poverty level.

Thank you in advance to everyone who helps this incredibly nice and hard-working family!
