1,000 Children Felt the Joy of the Holidays—Thank You!

Before we fully turn the page on the holidays, we want to pause—and simply say THANK YOU!

Because of you and our generous community of supporters, 1,000 children across San Francisco experienced joy, warmth, and celebration during Urban Angels SF’s 7th annual Holiday Gift Program. Every one of these children comes from a family that is unhoused or living at the poverty level, where the holidays can often bring added stress instead of comfort. This year, because of your generosity, the season looked and felt different.

For many families, these gifts were far more than presents. They were moments of dignity, relief, and the powerful feeling of being truly seen and remembered. They were reminders to parents and children alike that their community cares, that they matter, and that they are not alone.

We’ve received so many heartfelt, joy-filled thank-you notes from the children—notes filled with excitement, gratitude, and pride. We’ve heard from parents as well, many of whom shared that this was the first time in a long while their child felt included during the holidays. Those moments are not small. They stay with families long after the wrapping paper is gone, and they help shape how children see themselves and the world around them.

Today’s message is simply a moment of appreciation.
